Back to Basics Yoga

Our Back to Basics workshops are a wonderful opportunity to learn from our BYH teachers. They will guide you in refining your yoga practice, help you learn new techniques, and weave in theory and philosophy to begin again!

Therapeutic Yoga for Mental Health and Well-Being with Janice Sack-Ory
6 week series - Sundays, 12-1:30pm

Life is hard. In these challenging times of poly-crises and intense divisions, we cannot think or talk our way out of the impact of chronic or traumatic stress on the body and mind. We must come home to the body, which indeed keeps the score.
This 6 week class series will guide you through an experiential journey to support nervous system health, while learning to “listen” to your body to promote optimal mental and physical wellness.
Sound Bath with Daniella White
Sunday, March 23, 6-7pm
A Sound Bath is an improvised concert designed to shift the mind and body into a deeply relaxed state where healing can take place. Participants are bathed in powerful vibrations that help entrain their brain waves into Theta. In this deeply relaxed state, the parasympathetic nervous system is activated, and cellular regeneration and stress release can occur. People often report deep, restful sleep following a sound bath.
Katonah Weekend with Ty Watson
June 20-22, 2025
Come hang out and deepen your yoga practice with one of my favorite yoga teachers Ty Watson of The Studio in NY, NY. Ty teaches with clarity, kindness, humor and depth. We are so very lucky to have him come out for this weekend immersion of all things Katonah Yoga and more!

Sophie lead our weekly drop-in reading group that explored poems, essays, sutras, and other rich texts as jumping off points for conversation about yoga practice, embodiment, our connections to each other, and to the natural world.
